This site is a tribute to our Dad John who sadly passed away on 15th April 2024 aged 98.
He served in the Royal Navy in WW2, and in retirement rekindled his love of the sea by volunteering for the RNLI.
As he elected to donate his body to medical science there won't be a funeral, so we have created this site so you can share any memories, photos or stories as well as donate to his favourite charity if you are able.
Lots of love
Steve and Chris
My uncle John was always a friendly happy man, I have fun memories of my time spent staying with both John & Joan and my cousins. I am pleased to help an organisation close to John’s heart.
John was a truly lovely man and we very much enjoyed spending time with him at family gatherings.
I only have fond memories of Uncle John. Unfortunately living on the other side of the world meant catch ups were few and far between. Rosie & I were lucky enough to see uncle John in August 2022 while still living in the family home. He was as friendly as ever although moving a little slower. Rest in peace uncle John, you are now re-united with autie Joan.
Help grow John's Tribute by adding messages or memories you'd like to share.
